Windows 2000 Setup
- From the Windows™ Desktop, click on the Start button, go to Settings,
and select Control Panel.
- Double-click on the Internet Options icon to open it.
- Click on the tab labeled Connections.
- Locate the Setup button at the top of this window and click on it to open
the Internet Connection Wizard.
- The wizard will present you with three choices, place a dot next to the
third one (Setup the connection manually), then click Next to continue.
- Select “Connect using a phone line” and click Next.
- The customer will be prompted for the phone number. Enter the appropriate
number for the customer’s location. When you have done that, remove
the check mark from the “Dial using area code” option, then click
Next.
- Enter the appropriate username and password, and click Next to continue.
- Change the connection name to “Internet Navigator,” then click
Next.
- The connection wizard will now ask if you want to set up a mail account.
Make sure “Yes” has a dot next to it, then continue by pressing
Next.
- If asked to select “Set up a new Internet Mail account,” select
"No" and click Next.
- On the final page, click on the Finish button to complete the setup.
